2.Machine Body Design & Core Mechanical Structure

2.1 Heavy-Duty Machine Base & Casting Technology

The whole machine main frame and structural castings use FC30 Meehanite high-grade cast iron. All castings go through artificial normalization heat treatment plus long-time natural aging treatment, to fully release internal stress caused by casting processing. The extended-length machine bed improves rigidity, suppresses vibration during heavy-stock-removal grinding and long-time continuous production. All key mounting surfaces are finished by one-time clamping on high-end machine tools from YASDA, MITSUI SEIKI, TOSHIBA and ELB. Machining accuracy reaches micron grade, laying a solid foundation for long-term repeat precision.

2.2 Guideway, Feed System & Automatic Lubrication

The grinding wheel head feed system applies classic one-V-one-flat hand-scraped guideway. Hand scraping ensures good contact surface and excellent vibration damping performance. Matched with precision ground ball screw and continuous automatic lubrication system:

· Realize smooth low-speed movement without creeping

The automatic oil supply system continuously feeds lubricant to guide rails and ball screws during machine running. The cooling liquid tank is fully separated from machine main body, effectively isolating coolant-caused vibration and improving heat dissipation effect.

Grinding wheel spindle is equipped with Germany FAG high-precision bearings with sleeve-type structure (four bearings in front side, two bearings at rear side). This structure avoids direct metal-to-metal friction contact. It does not require independent lubrication circuit, greatly lowering daily maintenance workload. Spindle speed supports multi-step fixed speed:1650 /1850 /2100 RPM; stepless speed variation is also available. Normal maximum grinding linear velocity reaches 35 m/s; when equipped with high-speed grinding wheel, maximum linear velocity can hit 65 m/s. High linear velocity brings better surface finish for alloy steel, hard alloy and ceramic workpieces.

3.3 Workhead & Tail-Stock Function

Workhead supports simultaneous rotation / centering mode. Spindle through-hole diameter is 25 mm. Tail-stock adopts hardened alloy steel sliding sleeve inside cast-iron housing. MT4 thimble is installed. Thimble jacking force can be adjusted conveniently by rear knob. Optional hydraulic tailstock with foot pedal for quick loading and unloading heavy work-pieces, raising batch-production efficiency.
